 Rodney S. Ferguson CLU ®, CHFC®

Rod Ferguson is principal and founder of Ferguson Financial Group, L.L.C. Rod Ferguson is a District Agent for The New York Life Insurance Company. Rod’s specialties include working with small business owners, retirees and professionals in the area of estate, business succession, retirement and risk management planning.

Rod is a member agent of The Nautilus Group which is a service of New York Life Insurance Company and is a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC. He is a Life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) which is recognized throughout the industry as the standard of excellence in life insurance sales performance. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers (NAIFA), and is currently Chairman of the New York Life Agency Support Committee as well as a Board Member for the New York Life District Agency.

Personal Background: Rod grew up in South St. Louis County Missouri. Rod attended Duke University and the University of San Diego where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Minor in Finance. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Rod lives in West St. Louis County Missouri and has two daughters Kelsey and Shannon. Rod is active in varsity sports with his daughters; he is involved in numerous charitable organizations, active in his church and spends his spare time on his Cattle Ranch.

 

Wayne L. Rector, LUTCF

Wayne is a Financial Adviser at Ferguson Financial Group. Since 2002 he has specialized in working with individuals, professionals, retirees, and business owners in the areas of risk management, estate, retirement and business succession planning. Prior to his current position, Wayne spent eleven years in the corporate health insurance industry.

Wayne is a Registered Representative with NYLIFE Securities LLC and a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC. He is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for the past seven years, recognized as the standard of excellence in life insurance sales performance. He is a President's Council member 2010, as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company and a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Personal Background: Wayne grew up on a dairy farm and knows the value of hard work. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing from Lindenwood University. He lives in St. Louis City with his wife, Jami, daughter Zoe, and son Jonathan. He is an active member of St. Stephen’s Protomartyr and works with several local and national charitable organizations. Wayne enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

Scott joined FFG in the first quarter of 2009. As an agent he works toward developing strong relationships with clients & servicing their financial needs. Robert V. Ponciroli, CLU®*

Rob Ponciroli is a Sales Manager for Ferguson Financial Group, LLC, a financial advisor with Eagle Strategies LLC and an agent with The New York Life Insurance Company. Rob holds a Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College.

Since 1991, Rob has provided coordinated wealth consultation services to business owners, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations. His specialties include risk management/insurance protection, business planning/exit strategies, estate planning/wealth transfer, and asset allocation/retirement planning. Prior to 1991, Rob was a cost accountant and a mortgage loan officer. He grew up in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood, attended DeSmet Jesuit High where he was a player on a state basketball championship team, and received a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Rob and his wife Susan live in University City, MO where they are active in numerous charitable organizations

James M. Cain

Jim joined Ferguson Financial Group in 2009. As a licensed Financial Services Professional he works closely with individuals and Business owners to help them identify, and implement a sound strategy. Key areas include: estate planning, business succession and exit strategies, tax minimization strategies¹, retirement planning, and family protection/ lifestyle planning including long term care planning.

Jim grew up in Florissant, Missouri. He attended Truman State University where he received a bachelor of arts in communications with an emphasis in business administration. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers (NAIFA). Jim has two sons, Braeden and Blake. He currently lives in Lake Saint Louis Missouri where he is active in the local chamber of commerce and various charitable organizations.

David C. Herrick, CLU®, JD, LL.M., is The Nautilus Group's Chief Advisor to the CEO and Head of the Special Case Unit. Dave’s responsibilities focus on the development of planning strategies, including quantitative analysis for multigenerational transmission of wealth. Dave holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, and a J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Denver, College of Law. Dave is a member of AALU.

James S. Barry, J.D. LLM, CLU®, ChFC®, serves as the head of the Nautilus Plus unit at The Nautilus Group. He provides personalized consultative services to an elite group of 25 Member Agents, bringing client solutions for estate, business, insurance, and charitable planning. Jim and his staff are also available as a resource to facilitate the brainstorming process between the Nautilus Member Agent, the client, and the client’s circle of advisors. Jim has been in the life insurance industry since 1982. He received his law degree from the University of Georgia and his LLM in Taxation from the College of William and Mary. He also achieved significant credits at the University of Miami LLM program in Estate Planning. Jim is also a member of AALU.

 

Michelle M. Kenyon, JD, CPA

Michelle M. Kenyon, JD, CPA, joined The Nautilus Group in 2009, where she serves with the Nautilus Plus unit to provide personalized consultative services to an elite group of 25 Member Agents. Michelle began her legal career in Atlanta, Georgia. Her professional experience includes estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, and general corporate work. Michelle’s undergraduate degree in accounting is from Texas Christian University, and she holds a JD from Pepperdine University School of Law.

 

Kathy P. Boyett, CLU®, JD, LL.M.

Kathy P. Boyett, CLU®, JD, LL.M., joined Nautilus in 2003 after completing her LL.M. in taxation at SMU School of Law. Kathy has broad experience in various areas of law and family business that provides valuable insight in dealing with agents and their clients. After earning her J.D., Kathy worked as a corporate attorney for OKC Corp. (a New York Stock Exchange company in Dallas); she served for nine years as CFO of a family-owned manufacturing business; and, she worked for a boutique estate planning law firm in Dallas.

 

Karen Fishell, CLU®

Karen Fishell, CLU®, has been with The Nautilus Group since 1998. She works with Member Agents to provide detailed client presentations for corporate executive benefit arrangements including non-qualified deferred compensation plans for companies and non-profit organizations as well as executive bonus plans. Prior to joining Nautilus, Karen worked 11 years for one of the nation’s largest COLI and executive benefits organizations, providing support to many top financial professionals across the country with their executive benefits planning design needs.

 

Richard (Jack) Loney, J.D, CLU®, CFP®

Richard (Jack) Loney, J.D, CLU®, CFP®, joined The Nautilus Group® in 2010 after working in the Advanced Planning Resource Center, New York Life Insurance Company, where he developed extensive field experience working with agents and their clients. He also has extensive experience with charitable planning and special needs trust planning. Jack graduated with a J.D. degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. He holds a B.S. degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University, where he majored in social sciences.

 

R. Matthew Pate, JD, LL.M.

R. Matthew Pate, JD, LL.M., has been with Nautilus since 2004. Matt provides document reviews, estate and business planning strategies, consultative services, and research for Nautilus Member Agents and their clients. As a Certified Case Coach and Senior Case Writer, Matt provides high-level technical consultations and analyses for other Nautilus staff, as well as on-going development of Nautilus presentation and technical materials. Matt received his B.S. from Georgetown University in 1998 with majors in Accounting, Finance and International Business, his law degree from the University of Texas in 2001, and his LLM from Southern Methodist University in 2003.

 

Amanda Wright, J.D.

Amanda Wright, J.D., joined The Nautilus Group in September 2006, where she is responsible for case development and research regarding estate, business, tax, and insurance issues with the Special Case unit. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Spanish from Butler University, Indianapolis, IN. She attained her J.D. from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, where she graduated with honors. Amanda's interest in estate planning during law school lead to opportunities including volunteer work with Dallas Legal Hospice.

 

DeLynn K. Davis, JD, CLU®, ChFC®

DeLynn K. Davis, JD, CLU®, ChFC®, joined The Nautilus Group in 2006 with 15 years of experience in life insurance, financial planning and trust business development, including seven years in advanced marketing with The Prudential and The Equitable, where she had extensive joint sales experience. DeLynn holds a J.D. from the University of Houston and a B.A. in psychology from Drake University, with an accounting minor, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

 

Eric J. Hancz, MBA, CFA, CPA, ChFC®, CVA, CLU®

Eric J. Hancz, MBA, CFA, CPA, ChFC®, CVA, CLU®, has been with The Nautilus Group since 2002 as Director of Finance. He holds a BA degree from Franklin College in Franklin, IN, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Eric is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Certified Valuation Analyst. Prior to coming to Nautilus, Eric worked as Senior Financial Analyst for a business valuation and operations management consulting firm.

 

Richard Holman, JD, CFP®, CLU®

Richard Holman, JD, CFP®, CLU®, came to The Nautilus Group from Genworth Financial, where he served as an Advanced Marketing Attorney. Prior to that, he was with Raymond James & Associates as a Financial Planning Consultant and an Advanced Case Design Specialist. He is a published speaker at meetings on estate planning, special needs, asset protection, and retirement planning. He also is part of New York Life's Affluent Initiative, and develops and promotes Lifetime Wealth Strategies at The Nautilus Group. He earned his undergraduate degree in Politics from the University of Miami, and his J.D. from Florida State University.

 

Natalie Michalek, JD, CFP®

Natalie Michalek, JD, CFP®, joined The Nautilus Group 2007, previously providing financial counseling to high-net worth executives and managing a tax practice. She creates and manages technical and sales communications developed for Nautilus Member agents and conducts research and presentations on estate, business, tax, executive benefits and insurance issues. Her writing and advice has been featured in numerous local media outlets, along with peer-reviewed journals. She holds a B.A. in psychology from Cornell University, and a J.D. from Baylor University where she was Senior Executive Editor of the law review.

 

Anh Bishop, J.D.

Anh Bishop, J.D., joined The Nautilus Group in 2006. Prior to law school, she worked for four years as a Consultant for IBM Corporation. As a part of The Nautilus Group Case Development staff, she is responsible for case development and research regarding estate, business, tax, and insurance issues. Anh graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University, and cum laude with a J.D. from Southern Methodist University.

 

Britney Zollinger Clark, JD

Britney Zollinger Clark, JD, joined The Nautilus Group Case Development staff in 2006. Britney works with Member Agents to develop sophisticated estate and business plans, along with customized research. She is a valuable resource for charitable planning issues, and conducts charitable planning training for Nautilus staff. Britney received a Bachelor of Science from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, IL.

 

Kathryn Rodgers, J.D., LL.M

Kathryn Rodgers, J.D., LL.M, joined The Nautilus Group Case Development staff in 2007. Kathryn received her B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University, her J.D. from St. Mary's University, and her LL.M. from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Nautilus, Kathryn worked as a manager at a local accounting firm. As a case consultant at Nautilus, Kathryn assists agents in the development and implementation of estate and business plans for clients. She also provides advanced tax research.

 

Spencer D. Brown, J.D.

Spencer D. Brown, J.D., joined The Nautilus Group Case Development staff in 2009. He received his B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated Cum Laude with a J.D. from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. While in law school, Spencer served as a staff writer for the SMU International Law Review and as a law clerk for a successful Dallas litigation firm. Prior to joining Nautilus, Spencer enjoyed a successful eight year career as a Product Manager with a Fortune 500 technology company.
